The Old and The New

If you peer through the clouds and look at the very top of the mountain, Haleakala, you will see a small white object. This is one of the Haleakala Observatories.

And if you look at the front of the photo, you will observe a bit of the large Maui sugar cane fields which have played a major factor in Maui's development before tourism.
