We attended a beautiful wedding yesterday, and for many posts (minus tomorrow's Theme Day of Sister Cities), I'll be sharing my favorite photos from this wedding.
Today I'm continuing with photos from the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center. This photo looks across to the Food Court area, and it was shot from the Second Level. As you can see, the lighting fixtures are Asian influenced and give off a soft glow to the surroundings.
This game--Deal Or No Deal--is very popular at the Fun Factory inside the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center. Do your children have places like the Fun Factory with lots of arcade and video games where you live?
I've posted a photo of the Queen Ka'ahumanu statue for nearly ever season now with this one qualifying as my summer post. Longtime readers of this blog may recall viewing this statue which stands at the center of the Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center in Kahului.
IMHO I feel the shopping center website designers should incorporate the image of this beautiful statue into their website, and most specifically their landing page.
Last week my daughter discovered this 'downed' bird on our property, and so I picked it up, checked to see if it's neck or wing was broken, and then I brought it some water in a little white dish. The bird drank the water, recovered and finally flew away--a happy ending.
There are way too many stories around this one simple photo to share today. Someday I will. Maybe the story might even be a little book. Suffice to say that today miracles exist.
This is a dog of a dear friend of mine, and I've been watching it grow up and develop it's own style and personality. I took many photos of this peek-a-poo (a mix of Pekingese and Poodle) to catch the smile. I absolutely love to play with the ears--they are too cute!
And I received this Kiss Ass Blogger Award from Jonara Blu who makes very special and beautiful jewelry designs on Maui. Mahalo Nui Loa Jonara!
These young drivers passed by me today at the Safeway Store in Kihei, and they were too adorable to let pass by without a photo. I asked their Mom if I could photograph them, and she agreed. This car is attached to the shopping cart and serves Moms with more than one child very well.
I've photographed this leaf-filled grate before and posted it here on Wailea Daily Photo, but this time I'm posting it with my shadow. The two year birthday of Wailea Daily Photo is approaching: August 15!!! And I'm reflecting on all the images I've posted here these past two years.
Sometimes I tell myself it's time to stop! Other times I tell myself to keep going! And other times I tell myself to keep going until we move! So we'll see what the future holds for Wailea Daily Photo....
This grate is located in the parking lot of the Lono Building in Kahului, and I'd just lunched at Manana Garage again. There are many food photos taken inside the restaurant posted on this blog!
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm, many artists exhibit their art in the lobby of the the Wailea Golf Club. This scene above is one corner of the open-air lobby where the Art On The Green takes place.
